ROLE OVERVIEW

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for shaping and executing the marketing and communication strategies across Tomism’s venues and projects. This role bridges brand, storytelling, and operations — ensuring that each concept is expressed with clarity, consistency, and intention across all platforms.

Working across hospitality and art spaces, the role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, contributing to how Tomism connects with its audience through narrative, experience, and presence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies across all Tomism venues and projects.
  • Manage and maintain brand identity, tone, and visual consistency across platforms.
  • Plan and deliver campaigns for launches, events, exhibitions, and seasonal programs.
  • Create and oversee content across digital channels, including social media, website, and email communications.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, kitchen, bar, gallery) to align messaging with on-ground activities.
  • Support The Level III in exhibition promotion, artist communications, and event marketing.
  • Analyse campaign performance and audience engagement, and refine strategies accordingly.
  • Manage relationships with external collaborators, creatives, and media where required.
  • Oversee basic graphic direction and work with designers or external agencies when needed.
  • Maintain marketing calendars and ensure timely delivery of campaigns and communications.
  • Support brand development and new project launches within Tomism.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in marketing, branding, or communications (hospitality, arts, or lifestyle sectors preferred).
  • Experience with social media platforms, content planning, and campaign execution.
  • Basic design skills (e.g. Adobe Suite, Canva, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience with website and digital platforms (e.g. WordPress) preferred.
  • Photographing skills and post production.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
